APU LIMITATIONS
General Limitations
Flight cannot be based on the use of APU bleed air above 17,500 feet pressure altitude. The APU may be started at any altitude, but the start may be unsuccessful above pressure altitudes of 35,000 feet.

Starter Limitations
Maximum of 3 consecutive start attempts within 60 minute period with a minimum 5 minute cooling period between attempts. If an APU start is unsuccessful on the ground, an outside observer must observe the next start to guard against tail-pipe fire.
