| GENERAL

Select FLT on Engine Start Switches for operation in moderate or severe turbulence.
When flaps are extended or engine anti-ice is selected, AUTO ignition is provided.

| REVERSE THRUST
|
The use of reverse thrust is not permitted in flight.
"Powerback" operations using reverse thrust are permitted on the 757.
|
| WARM UP / COOL DOWN PERIODS
|
| Before takeoff or high thrust usage (e.g. 60% N1 engine anti-icing procedure)
|
5 minutes at low power
(3 minutes for transit stops under 90 minutes)

| After Landing
|
1 minute at low power prior to engine shutdown

| STARTER MOTOR LIMITATIONS
|
For Rolls Royce Engines, the limitations for use of the engine starter motor are:
3 periods of 2 mins operation followed by 15 mins cooling
or
1 period of 4 mins operation followed by 15 mins cooling
